Moral Mess Test
Moral Mess Test was a submission to the 2022 Global Game Jam for the Playcrafting site in NYC. The game is an absurdist interpretation of social dilemmas like the trolley problem. The player is presented with a multitude of scenarios in which they must select one character to progress based on a set of extremely trivial characteristics.
The game was built in Unity using C#. I was a developer on this project alongside Calvin So and amorizel.
Key Contributions:
Developed the loading screen and transition states
Created and built various scenarios in a 3D environment including the construction/deconstruction visual effect
Wrote the NPC’s characteristics alongside the game’s flavor text
Organized group and led brainstorming sessions
Finalized concept while condensing scope
Collaborated with the other programmer to make sure our work would not conflict or overlap
Implemented the text parsing and display system
