Payaya’s Solitaire Cash

Solitaire Cash was the first playable project I worked on after transitioning to Vungle/Liftoff. Knowing that this would be a solitaire game, I believed (similar to my Zynga Poker playable) that creating an accurate simulation of solitaire would be the most effective ad for our client Papaya Games.

Key Contributions:

  • Developed a system that dealt out a new random game of solitaire with every refresh

  • Taught my technical artist coworker the ins-and-outs of working in the Tresensa game engine and how to prepare assets for it

  • Created a hint system that will determine the next valid move the player can make and automatically perform it if they have been inactive for too long

  • Allowed the player to be able to both tap or drag the card

  • Simplified the level creation process allowing the client to decide from a variety of levels based on difficulty

  • Made sure the game is able to determine a fail and win state automatically
