Space Ape’s Treasure Tail

At Tresensa, I was asked to lead the development on the new Treasure Tails playable for our client Space Ape. The game itself was still under development, but the client wanted the playable ready for their soft launch. For this playable, I worked alongside a new hire and mentored them throughout the development process.

Key Contributions:

  • Implemented physics into the playable using matter.js since the Tresensa engine does not natively support physics

  • Divided work on the project allowing for the new hire to work on a section of the playable independently

  • Performed regular check-ins and code reviews with the new hire

  • Kept in close communication with the client to make sure the playable stayed accurate to their in-development game

  • Merged the new hire’s work over creating a seamless experience
